Westminster City Council is looking for ideas that will help improve quality of life in the city.

Our competition running until 28 March 2008 calls for:

Ideas will be judged in terms of:

  • Their contribution to civic order, opportunity, enterprise or renewal.
    See why innovate?
  • The cost-effectiveness of the proposal in the context of limited financial
    resources.
  • The practicality of delivering the idea, within existing law.
  • The contribution it makes to improving quality of life in the city.

Ideas do not have to be fully-worked up proposals but should provide a clear idea of benefits, timescale, cost and problems they will solve. Your idea could win you up to £1,000 and if it impresses our judging panel, that includes designer Wayne Hemingway, it may be selected to be implemented by the City Council. Here are some ideas to get you thinking:

  • Are there new ways text messaging could be used to communicate?
  • What would make your neighbourhood safer?
